With the school year is winding down, final report cards are getting filled. While we wait to find out how our students did this past year, it is also important to know how the district educating them stacks up! Educational review and ranking website Niche recently released their list of the 2019 Best School Districts in California! The site examined 481 public school districts throughout the state. They looked at key metrics, such as quality of teachers, extracurriculars offered, test scores, and other areas that help insure a quality education for K-12 students. From millions of Niche user reviews and data from the U.S. Department of Education, grades were provided for each of the public school districts.
So did Ventura Unified School District make the grade? It came in the top 15% of its class — ranking 71st in the state! Ventura Unified School District received an A- for its Overall Niche Grade!! It got 3 A’s for Teachers, College Prep, and Diversity. 2 A-‘s were earned for Sports and Health & Safety. It received a B+ for its Administration. And, B’s for Academics and Clubs & Activities. Congrats on these great marks!

Spruce up your Ventura home this spring! Keep your home and yard in tip-top shape for the year by giving it some attention now. Check out these home maintenance tasks to complete this spring!
AC Check Up!
Before it gets much hotter in Ventura County, you need to make sure that your AC is ready to run. Use a hose (low pressure) on the outside of the unit to clean dirt and dust from the condenser. Replace the filter. Call a professional to look at your AC unit if it has been some time since its last maintenance check.
Make Windows Sparkle!
Be able to marvel at your stunning landscaping by giving your windows a good scrub. The best way to ensure that all smudges and streaks are removed is by having a partner simultaneously wash the inside of the window(s) while you wash the outside.
Inspect Walkways and Patios!
